Fiona readies herself for the first trip to the O.R.
Dressed as Alice In Wonderland, she's off to have her tooth extracted at the Hospital.
First getting her pulse, dressed to go in her red stripey gown - with her tooth fairy pillow and friends the rabbits.
A little worse for wear as she comes out of the sleep. Holding her tube with not only one, but a surprise SECOND tooth out too.
Her new smile.
One was a super numeral tooth - genetic and a full rooted tooth that pushed out her baby tooth last november.
and the one beside was apparently loose enough to come out too.
With her bottom pair coming in and the missing top pair
she can certainly sing
All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth
Her lisping is minor but sweet.
mummy recovering nicely from surgery episode also (it's tough to put your kid asleep on purpose!)

The farm has added a new critter to the collection:

Hip Hop Ho
the bunny.
fiona likes to take him for walks
Cats are Ok with him
Dogs like to bark at him during deck visits.
lives in the house and in the hutch too
come visit hime!

Ok
so it's for Glenn, and Fiona and me too
but
what started as a tidy the basement and make it a play area
turned out to be more adventurous!
I decided to put backs on the stairs and upgrade the overall lighting in the old basement
Then fiona can have her play space, and I can have my sew, craft and workout room
BUT
friends came over and
well
see what they did!

Film Festival -Day 2

Festival choices so far have been great!
Saw Michael Moore's "Captain Mike Across America", 2nd showing ever, and the premier viewing of "Battle in Seattle", about the '99 WTO Conference protests. The stars were mostly all there, including Charlese Theron, and Woody Harrelson.
Tired but on to the next.

on the first day of SK my fiona said to me

Another year begins as our Fiona heads off on the Chicken Bus to St. Martin's.
She could barely eat her breakfast she was so excited.
Daddy called from the airport to wish her a super day.
Lucky we only have to go to the bottom of the driveway for our bus stop this year. Much less WINDY in the wicked weather down there.
Now to get my to do list clipped down a bit!

Meredith Denning, left, oldest daughter of my friend Bill, next-to-left, was also accompanied by her sister Laurel in the yellow tank top, and Laurel's friend Rachel, upon her arrival in Washington to intern in the Canadian Embassy's environment section this fall. They spent the weekend with us, and all but Meredith are now back up in Toronto.
