The MBE 100 dinner is October 21st -- Winners' list is HERE.

I just found out yesterday -- phone message while I was at yoga -- so that's all I know...oh, and that 5000 companies were nominated, so this is pretty keen.

Nice way to start out being 51! I was going to post a facebook composition on "Gratitude: the 51st State"... but spent a day on hold with tech support at Epson (had to buy new printer), CapitalOne bank and Intuit ...

Coyotes yip at night
The Dogs give chase, then it stops.
The Dogs are good dogs.

well, they seeem to be working

coyotes yipping at 2 am and 3 am
followed by barking dogs chasing them
and then there were none
but the dogs were unmarked and Ok today
so far

Another Year, Another First for Simon and Chloe

Simon and Chloe started their first day at their new school/garderie.

Simon was very excited about it. A little hesitant when he got to the door but he got over it and seemed to be settling in nicely. Chloe jumped in with both feet and was doing fine.

first day in the third grade

WE already know it will be a grade 2-3 split
and we know the teacher is a new to this school (followed the principal from st. Anne's) Mrs. Forcythe, and her pal Sara is in her class for the 5th year running, who's also her seat mate on the bus this year.
things are looking okey.
so Fiona's off to Grade 3 today!
with 2 teeth missing - she calls herself a hockey player

MORE additions

This time it's a new mattress and box spring for us and a chain saw!
not that they came together in an offer from the BRICK
but both were on the acquisition list.
hope we sleep well in a new feeling of a bed tonight.

check the link to lean about the breed. the akbash is another strong breed but these were ... well available!
they'll live in the barn and hang out with the flock.
so far, introducing them to the animals has worked out well
we walked the perimeter with them and they did well.
now they are alone till dad gets home from work and then he'll meet them
more as it happens!
