I stumbled across this link: the NFB ha smade 50 of its films available for on-line viewing. Certainly takes us a long way from the 16mm sources we've reflected on lately. What I dont know is if the files can be trapped and saved locally, instead of just streamed. Lorne, if you can trap them, let us know.
Titles inclued
"The Cat Came Back", "The Big Snit" "Blinkity Blank","The Street". Sadly, not "Hot Stuff", "Evolution" or "Cosmic Zoom".

Apparently, I can't find the mosquito.
It's right there...next to the cream...
there's also NEIGHBOURS (did you know that it was from 1952! I always thought it was just done retro...) and THE SWEATER. I showed source and managed to find the url for the movie file for a couple of them (neighbours is http://cmm.onf.ca/films/300_10530.mov ) then you load that and right click to save it. Cat-Puchino is pretty funny. Here puchi puchi puchi....
can someone see if I KNOW AN OLD LADY is on there and make a copy of that, plus the faves for fiona's "xmas" present this summer at the farm?
we have dialup so that will never do
thanks
